USJ3A HOCKEY RINK DISCUSSION & LAYOUT DESIGN with Dato Lee

After receiving a phone call on thursday 6th Mac that there will be a meeting / plan layout discussion at USJ 3A with Dato Lee at 6pm, my heart was racing for joy. Finally, we are getting our rink. A proper place to play hockey. This was after being left in the dark about the whole progress of the Rink.

The meeting was an outdoor meeting at the site itself and i was accompanied by 10 of our underdogs members all wearing their jerseys and stuff. Dato Lee then took out the plan layout which was huge. It had a 23 meter width hockey rink, a futsal court and a play ground.

Dato lee was upset due to the futsal court being there. Who needs another futsal court anyway? there are thousands around town. He then asked the contractor / plan designer to redesign the layout and to remove the futsal court.

In the discussion, the hockey rink will be the center focus surrounded by a 4 lane track for skaters to skate around. There will also be a playground for the kids in the area and car park bays for guests.

Dato Lee then fought for us as he had a discussion with one of the fellow guy who thought of the rink otherwise. As the guy said it was a waste of money, Dato Lee stood up and voiced his opinion that he had a vision to build the sport and to bring up Subang into a place with activities, lifestyle, sports & unity. He also wants this to be the First in Malaysia & to bring international teams down for tournaments, etc. Guess that guy didnt see the picture.. All he wanted was slip roads.. he kept on mentioning about slip roads. What the world can slip roads do? with or without it wouldn't make a difference.. now what is a waste of money. anyway its not that guys money. so shuttafup. anyway moving on swiftly.. TQ Dato Lee

Finally, a sight of relief filled our hearts. We get to see whats going on. There were no press coverage yesterday. The contractor will be working with me closely on the dimensions, design of the rink and skating areas. So i will continue to keep you all updated.

Lets hope and pray that our dreams will come true to build the sport that we once played... Underdogs for life.

A WEDDING OF A KING!

This are some pictures taken on our dear friend & team mates wedding, beginning this year. The Wedding took place at a very beautiful, grand & big hall with a stage set for a king and a cool island band playing all sorts of music. It was a fun experience for most of us as its our first time attending a proper malay wedding. Anuar, you are now a real man. Congrats & god bless! come back for hockey once you settle your honeymoon k. Awwwwww!!!!
