Underdogs- APC Singapore 2006. 21 – 26th November 2006.

Evening came and to the rink we went, we played the Piranhas mixed with Skatesports vs Team underdogs. This was best game we played ever. All our players were calm and steady. We played with the puck all the way. We scored 9 goals. Craig scored 4, Ramesh, 1, Izwan 2, Nick 2. And Herman & Leon played keeper during that game. After the game, we took many pictures and exchanged ideas and game plays with the Piranhas and man we learnt a lot. This we took back with us to Malaysia. There is so much to do and learn man. Cant wait to make things happen. Fi & Zu from Piranhas gave us so much tips and also a lift back to our Resort, where Apu and the Skatesports team joined us for a BBQ. The night ended with great food and beer enough for everyone.

The 3 days of heart pounding action in a proper actual sized rink was an experience we will carry with us forever. The place was amazing. I cant imagine the government of Singapore be it such a small country builds an actual rink which they on the lights every single day for the skaters. And look at us, bigger country but nowhere to practice and play. Its no wander everyone in Singapore is healthy.

On the last day, we all went out to East Coast Park to skate in the evening after moving back to the Strands Hotel in the city. East Coast Park was the bomb. We were greeted by most of the teams we played with in the APC including Skatesports & Inline Culture. The funniest thing I can’t get over is that no one from Skateline even bothered to meet up with us. Not even one. Later headed back to our hotel to clean up and to the clubs we went. Some went to MOS and others to Butter Factory. We need to teach them how to dance. Haha.

On Sunday which was the 26th Novemeber, was free and easy day. Some went to do some last minute shopping, Steve, Craig & Lina went to the zoo to accomplish their trip to Singapore. Ramesh, Junior & Lily went shopping. Nick & Herman went to pick up chicks, Jarrod, Adi & Destine went to buy shoes.
After all meeting back at 6pm, the best was yet to come, Apu was supposed to bting the small skatesports van to help bring our bags to the bus station. Guess what he arranged for us? A freaking 40 seater bus. Amazing and shocking.

Then we all headed to the bus station and said our hard goodbyes. All good things must come to an end. And Singapore will sure see more of us in the near future. Lastly I would like to thank Gabriel & Allison for all their help in booking our stay and moving us around including taking us all to Geilang to check out the pros. Barry Hanson and company including Apu for making all things possible, moving us around, organising the games and not forgetting the huge bus. Inline culture, Marcus for helping Herman buy his keeper stick, helmet and for babysitting him. Lina & Steve for washing all our clothes. Nick & Lina for being the teams physician. All the teams in Singapore for challenging us, and the next time we will whoop ya… haha. To our sponsors and last but not least all the Underdogs players Ramesh, Izwan, Junior, Nick, Herman, Leon, Jarrod, Anuar, Steve who played their heart and soul in the games, the support team Lina, Addi, Destine and Lily. Also, to all the Underdogs who couldn’t come down with us who supported us from home. Thanks guys. And till we meet again for the Mission Cup 2007.

Dogs do not forget. We never forget!
